Sail the Apostle Islands in Lake Superior

Sail among the amazing Apostle Islands in Lake Superior July 20-21, 2024. The Apostle Islands are one of the most amazing places to explore. This is the opportunity of a lifetime. Enjoy the crystal blue and teal waters and carved sandstone shoreline, explore islands and sea caves, and relax among this paradise. You do not need any knowledge of sailing or previous experience to take part in this adventure, and you don’t need any gear other than a sleeping bag and pillow.
Board the Dreamcatcher for 2 days of sailing on Lake Superior. Arrive at Bayfield City Dock the evening before departure (Friday, July 19) for a complimentary night aboard the boat, or arrive Saturday morning. Set sail on Saturday, July 20. We will visit remote beaches, unique sites, sea caves, sand spits, and hike, swim, stargaze, see lighthouses, and maybe enjoy a bonfire on the beach. Learn about the unique history of the islands.
We will sleep aboard the boat in a quiet cove or harbor in the Apostle Islands. The boat includes 2-person shared beds, a bathroom, kitchen, and the galley. Women will have fun, be empowered, build confidence, and learn new skills. Instruction includes: fire building, cooking, water filtration, safety skills, and more. You can also really get the experience of sailing with as much instruction as you want including sailing techniques, seamanship, navigation, and anchoring.

Paddle the Namekagon National Scenic River

If you have ever wanted to canoe on a river, or you are experienced and are looking for women to adventure with, then this is the trip for you.
The Namekagon National Scenic River Trip flows through open marshes, past national forest, through periodic riffles, into wide pools, and under railroad bridges. This section of river includes a few short sections of easy rapids to offer some challenge and skill development. The entire stretch of river passes through the National Scenic Riverway and the river is clean and clear. This adventure offers fantastic and scenic paddling, wildlife viewing, and camping at river campsites.
The adventure includes two nights wilderness camping along the Namekagon River. Camping is at backcountry sites with pit toilets only. The trip includes 20 miles of easy river paddling south of Hayward, WI to Trego, WI. Previous experience is not required however you must be comfortable in and around water and in a canoe. You do not need your own gear unless you can bring an expedition (65 liter or larger) drybag.
Women will have fun, feel safe, be empowered, build confidence, and learn new skills. Instruction includes: paddle skills, natural history & interpretation, camp site set-up, wilderness travel, backpack loading techniques, fire building, outdoor cooking, water filtration, safety skills, and more. Daily reflection, conversation, and debriefing will help participants transfer skills learned, and experiences gained, to their daily life.
